FUCK FOREVER SCREEN PRINT 1997
FUCK FOREVER SCREEN PRINT 1997
From the original 1997 Artificial NYC edition, this print of Fuck Forever is a silver and orange version. The original of this work which has become something of a ‘succès de scandale’ appeared only momentarily in the hotel scene of The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle, but was issued in a poster format for Jamie Reid’s 1986 exhibition at Hamilton’s Gallery in London. Although the immediate reading of the work might provoke, the hidden message is to live in the present.
This work was screen printed by Ambassador Arts of NYC in 1997, and is signed by the artist, and has the Artificial blindstamp and ink stamp on the reverse.
Dims 101 x 75cm
Edition of 200
This edition and the companion editions were produced and launched during Jamie Reid’s large survey show Peace Is Tough - curated by John Marchant and Jamie Reid - at the Artificial Gallery on Lafayette Street, on the Lower East Side of New York, Sept-Oct 1997.
